How we verify nvda facts

Braille Quill verifies screen reader install facts against GitHub Releases, NV Access pages, and microsoft/winget-pkgs before copy ships.

Primary sources

GitHub release tags prefixed release-, the official Windows exe asset list, nvaccess.org download and documentation pages, and the NVAccess.NVDA winget manifests are primary. Secondary commentary never overrides those doors.

What gets re-checked

Asset filenames, package identifiers, licence URLs, and first-hour menu paths. When winget lags GitHub, the copy says so instead of pretending the catalog always matches the newest exe.

What stays out of scope

Homebrew casks that do not exist. Competitor prices we have not checked. Testimonials nobody said. Soft parks stay parked and out of scope.

Corrections

If a filename or id drifts, editors update research notes and the install panel data on the next review. Contact path: contact.
